First Day of School

My first day of school at Marin Day in the Butterfly room was so much fun. The team of teachers allow each student a few weeks before picking their "primary" teacher but I knew right away that my primary teacher would be Dani. She is cute and fun and has lots of energy. I really, really like her. She taught me to paint - I think that there might be something here. Mimi and Gigipa are both amazing artists. I wonder if I have it in me? What do you think?

Chuck e Cheese

Mommy and Daddy took me to Chuck e Cheese for the first time the week after my 1st birthday. I had so much fun (chuck scared me though). My favorite ride was the Bob the Builder truck. I wanted to keep riding it all night long. Mommy and Daddy didn't let me though. I suppose it will be there next time...

Break Dancing

Miss Amy got married on August 7th. I was so glad to be invited to the wedding - it was a really fun night. I think I impressed everyone with my dancing skills. You should have seen the break dance moves I pulled out. Unreal!

Last Night at the Cottage

The last night at the cottage Gabe, Naomi and I had so much fun. Mimi let us bounce on her chairs like we were in a mosh pit or something. Spending the week with Naomi and Gabe was such a treat. I hope to do it again very, very soon. I already miss you guys!

Sophie, Maya and Me

Sophie and Maya, my two twin second cousins, are so pretty and nice and I really like being with them. The only thing is that they make me feel a little messy... like a dirty boy. They ate their entire dinner without getting it all over their faces. How'd they do that?

Just Me and Gabe, Being Silly!

I love my big cousin Gabe. He is so much fun and teaches me all kinds of stuff. Like here, he's teaching me how to play dress up with Auntie Tricia's shoes...

My 1st Birthday

My first birthday party was at the cottage. Gabe, Naomi, Auntie Jake and Tricia, Uncle Phil, Mimi and of couse, Mommy and Daddy were all there. Ballons, silly string, and bubbles kept all of us busy while Mommy brought out my first birthday cake - and SUGAR (I guess I should tell you the cake was actually a pudding (mom tried to make it healthy). I have to say that the cake was a little strange looking but tasted just amazing. I did have to go to bed a little early that day too because I was so excited that I forgot to nap! I also got lots of presents! Mommy and Daddy got me my first car! Auntie Jake, Uncle Phil, Naomi and Gabe got me this super fun book called "Charlie Monkey." Mimi and Pops got me a sock monkey and my favorite gift, a wooden bus. Grandma and Grandpa sent me an outfit and my first baseball cap. And, I got a lot of very thoughtful cards - even a hand painted one from Gigipa. Thank you everyone for spoiling me!

Auntie Kylah

Auntie Kylah is fabulous. It's no wonder my mommy and daddy love her so much. She introduced me to her boyfriend Martin who was super fun to hang out with. I hope that I get to see them both again very soon.

The Beach

The beach at the cottage is so much fun! I got to play on the slide, in the water and push around a dump truck. I went down to the beach everyday we were there, rain or shine, it was a blast!

Legos with Pops, Naomi and Gabe

Pops was teaching me and Naomi how to play with legos. Well, actually I think that Gabe was teaching all of us, including Pops, but he liked us to think that it was him :)

My First Boat Ride

The first time I road on the boat was a bit scary. I'm not a huge fan of wind and boy-o-boy was it windy! My mommy held me close and put on Gabes green towel which did help. I think I'll come around to the boat at some point - it sure seems fun!

First Meal at My New Home

I wasn't sure at first, I mean, about this new home thing, as you can see from the expression on my face. It has only been a few days so you'll have to check back in with me before I say whether it's going to work out or not. My parents are pretty much convinced that it's going to though.

First Steps

Just days before we left the old house I decided to take my first steps. I wasn't sure if the new house was going to have anything sturdy for me to catch myself on if I lost balanced - like these bookshelves. It was the bookshelves and moving boxes that helped me get through those first few steps. Another chapter is about to start in my life. I'll be walking, running and exploring our new house!

Discovery Museum

I got to go to the discovery museum when Auntie Tricia was in town. I had so much fun exploring. I'm excited to visit this museum again soon! Thanks T!
